Our Umeå University node is located at the Chemical Biology Centre (KBC) in the Department of Chemistry. In a thriving research environment of chemical biology and organic synthetic chemistry, CBCS UmU has dedicated facilities for assay development, high throughput and high content screening, synthetic chemistry facilities, and medicinal chemistry support. CBCS UmU also has advanced cell biology and infection labs (BSL-2 level), long experience in screening with infection disease models, and an open-access facility with a user club for the use of plate readers and high-content screening microscopes.
